Looking down the dock from where Doublewide is tied, this is the gas dock that I had to get onto first to get some diesel. It was a case of parallel parking... So glad to have a dockhand that knew what he was about. He just had me edge Doublewide's bow in, he grabbed the bow line, secured it and was there to catch the stern line in just a couple of seconds. Whatever they are paying him, isn't enough. Now, of course, the problem is she is pointing the wrong way! No problem says Skipper Sam. He just grabbed opposite bow line and had me slowly kick out her stern while he pulled the bow forward. Very cool. Kept me from having to back down that narrow canal to where I tied her up, behind where I am standing.
