Skipper Sam to the Rescue! After several days of having indifferent to non-existent dockhands he was a joy to behold. I took all the tips that I did not give the others and gave it to Sam. He brought Doublewide into the crowded gas dock having me just back her in gently - caught the stern line and the wind nicely brought the bow in where he grabbed that line. He also showed me a cool trick where he took the port bow line, had me put her in reverse, and he brought the nose back to where the stern was. My job was to steer the stern out into the channel, and we neatly swung the boat around so that I didn't have to back down the long very narrow channel to get to my tie up..
